Stamping die is a special process equipment used in cold stamping processing to process materials (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products), called cold stamping die (commonly known as cold stamping die). Stamping is a pressure processing method that uses a mold installed on a press machine to apply pressure to materials at room temperature, causing them to separate or undergo plastic deformation, in order to obtain the desired parts.
With the accelerating pace of international integration and intensifying market competition, people have become increasingly aware of the importance of product quality, cost, and the ability to develop new products. According to the book "Stamping Mold Technology Q&A" by Luo Baihui, CEO of Jinmo.com, stamping mold manufacturing is one of the most fundamental elements in the entire chain, and stamping mold manufacturing technology has become an important indicator of a country's product manufacturing level and development level.
In recent years, the stamping die industry has been rapidly developing at a growth rate of around 15%. The ownership composition of stamping die industry enterprises has also undergone significant changes. In addition to state-owned professional stamping die factories, collective, joint venture, sole proprietorship, and private enterprises have also experienced rapid development.
Since the reform and opening up, with the rapid development of the national economy, the demand for stamping dies in the market has been continuously increasing. The "hometown of molds" in Ningbo and Huangyan areas of Zhejiang Province; Some large group companies and rapidly rising township enterprises in Guangdong, such as Kelon, Midea, Konka and other groups, have established their own mold manufacturing centers; There are now thousands of mold enterprises with Sino foreign joint ventures and wholly foreign-owned enterprises.
In response to the shortcomings and the huge potential of the stamping die market, the country has formulated the "15th Five Year Plan" for the development of the stamping die industry. On the one hand, we need to continue promoting the application of new technologies and improve the manufacturing level of large, precision, and complex molds; On the other hand, targeted development should be made to meet the needs of different mold markets. I hope to further enhance the overall strength of the mold enterprise, with key and backbone enterprises reaching 50%. 2003 was a crucial year for the 15th Five Year Plan. If 60% of the tasks could not be completed, the plan would fail, and the failure of the mold would have an impact on the entire industry.
In recent years, foreign companies entering China have intensified competition, and there have also been some vicious price competition. Luo Baihui stated that in order to avoid losing long-term and overall development due to temporary benefits, industry associations will also strengthen the organization and coordination among mold enterprises in the coming year, and formulate reasonable price levels. At the same time, research the international mold price level to provide guidance and information communication for the industry.
In recent years, the development of high-speed milling has greatly improved processing efficiency, achieved extremely high surface smoothness, and can also process high hardness modules. It also has the advantages of low temperature rise and small thermal deformation. The development of high-speed milling technology has injected new vitality into the manufacturing of large cavity molds in the automotive and home appliance industries. At present, it has developed towards higher levels of agility, intelligence, and integration.
Luo Baihui pointed out that China's stamping molds occupy the second most important position in the total import and export volume of molds in China. The percentage of stamping molds in the total import and export of molds is 40.33% and 25.12%, respectively. With the development of China's economy, the rapid growth of industries such as automobiles, home appliances, and IT will also drive the domestic market demand for molds in China; The continuous progress of China's mold technology has enabled some mold technologies to approach or reach international advanced levels, which is one of the reasons why China's stamping molds are widely welcomed in the international market.
In addition, the relatively low prices of stamping dies of the same type produced and exported in China are also an important reason for the popularity of stamping dies in the international market and the promotion of China's stamping die exports.
